Uranium reserves

Uranium is a rather common metal, however, it occurs mostly in very low concentrations that are difficult or impossible to exploit commercially. It is commonly agreed to define uranium reserves as the resource that could be extracted below a given cost: right now it is USD 130 per kg of uranium. With such definition, the known resources amount to about 5.5 million tonnes of uranium content.
